Janette began her interest in art from a young age and clay became her means of expressing her creativity, attending many pottery workshops and classes. After leaving her banking career in the International sector to have a family, Janette then followed her passion and attended South Bank College, Brisbane studying ceramics to refine her skills. With many years of pottery experience behind her, she then embarked on her new career as a professional ceramicist which proved very successful. In 1996, the famous Eumundi Markets on the Sunshine Coast in Australia became the outlet to sell her wares. Janette's love for simplicity, colour and shape was reflected in her ceramic pieces which mirrored the beauty of the oriental Japanese style that she admired.
In 2005, following in her father's footsteps, Janette turned her skills to painting due to the influx of inexpensive, imported, commercially made ceramics which she was now competing against. In keeping with the clean, simplistic style and use of vibrant colours that Janette had developed in her pottery range, she was able to recreate this onto canvas. She now creates bold, contemporary abstracts for today's modern homes, offices and apartments. Her work reflects dramatic use of colour and line and has attracted attention from new home owners, renovators and decorators.
Janette sold her work to both an Australian and International market through her outlet at the famous Eumundi Markets. She now showcases her artwork from her home studio on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
Janette offers a free in-home consultation service to Sunshine coast residents and is happy to come to your home to enable you to view her paintings insitu and assist with colour and size selection. Please phone or email to make an appointment.

Please take into consideration with commissions that no two paintings will be identical as each piece is individually hand painted.This should be considered when ordering.

ORDER REQUIREMENTS:
- 20% deposit.
- Payment can be made by direct credit, bank cheque or money order. Payment arrangements will be made once your order has been placed.
- Balance on completion. A photo of your painting will be emailed to you to ensure you are happy with it. If you are not satisfied, your complete deposit will be refunded.
Courier service is available for interstate clients within Australia and all work is securely bubble wrapped and boxed for safe transportation.
